[English] Just yesterday another Integratón was completed, an event that raises funds for the operation of Villa Integra,
that gathers the services of twelve associations that attend different
types of disabilities, like motor, hearing, visual and cognitive
problems to autism through therapy, education and support. After seeing
all these heroes I can understand that this effort is all worth it, as
they are examples of fight, achievement and desire to succeed an
adversity.
Luckily
I got close to Laura, who is the current president of the foundation
and between her walk from one side to another and talking with people
from the media, she had a moment to tell me that they began in 1994
helping 5 people on the garage of a home and today 788 people are being
benefited. Laura has an unbelievable sincere smile and when I asked her for
her portrait, she wanted to have the people who were helping in, so you
can see in the background at least one of the tables where they were
registering the donations; and it is true, none of this would be
possible without all these kids, adults and their families, physicians,
therapists, friends and volunteers, my deepest admiration to all of you.
We are more than these bodies we carry on, we are strength and heart!

[Español] Ayer se realizó el Integratón, un evento que recauda fondos para el funcionamiento de Villa Integra, que reune servicios de doce asociaciones que atienden distintos tipos de discapacidad tanto motriz, auditiva, visual hasta autismo y problemas cognitivos a través de terapias, educación y apoyo. Después de ver a todos estos héroes uno puede entender que este esfuerzo vale la pena, pues son ejemplos de lucha, superación y ganas de salir adelante ante la adversidad.
Por suerte pude acercarme a Laura, quien actualmente dirige la fundación y entre su andar de un lado a otro y atender a gente de los medios, se dio un instante para platicarme que iniciaron en 1994 atendiendo a 5 personas en el porche de una casa y actualmente benefician a 788 personas. Laura tiene una sonrisa increiblemente sincera y cuando le pedí tomar su retrato, ella quería que salieran las personas que estaban ayudando, por eso pueden ver en el fondo al menos una de las mesas donde se estaban registrando los donativos; y es cierto, nada de esto sería posible sin todos los niños, adultos y sus familias, médicos, terapeutas, amigos y voluntarios, mi profunda admiración a todos ustedes. Somos mucho más que este cuerpo que llevamos, ¡somos fuerza y corazón!
